Cleansed from all sin, walking in the light

21 May

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:5-10

Not one of us is innocent. We all are sinners. And, we must confess our sins to God. Repent. Then, we are cleansed and we find freedom.

Jen, you know this is one of those passages I did learn as a girl and as I was reading them, they came right back to me. How is Holly? I haven’t heard from her since I gave her the RA information and my doctors name and number. I am so anxious I know there has to be a better word to us, but want to know how she is doing and hopefully following up on the info because I know it could completely change her life! How incredible our God is that he bring you to me and then you would say you need to talk to my friend, cause she hurts too, but she is so full of joy! i couldn’t believe it when you said she had RSD I have told everyone that story. It is amazing! but I want to know what is happening now!

Jennifer you are dead wrong when you say “No one of us is innocent”. I can prove to you that there are so many among us are innocent. Millions of them. Wanna beat?

      Hi there!

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and respond. I always appreciate feedback, as it helps me grow as a writer and a student of scripture.

For this specific post, I was referring to the fall of man, as mentioned in Genesis 3, and how Adam and Eve’s sin is the reason why we are sinners in need of a savior. Romans 3:10 tells us that “no one is good,” meaning we are all sinners and no one is perfect or righteous except God. But thankfully, it doesn’t end there. Romans 8:1 also tells us, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.”

It is for freedom he set us free!
